Character movement and other things…

So I have bee working off and on for the past week on my untitled game. I have two things working semi-ok: 1. the inital camera system and 2. the character movement. right now I need to work on getting the player to rotate to the location I intend for him/her to move. :/

I figure I will take a break from programming and write some more design stuff, I program code for 10 hrs a day at work. I just don’t want to get burn out on a game that I am creating.

Untitled Project

So right now I am doing two things, writing/designing a game and programming the main “engine”. I say “engine” because I am using Unity 3D and making ALL the game code in C++, in other words a plugin.

The game will be, well not to many details, but  a 3rd person single player game. Pretty much what will happen is that when something cool or new gets updated, I’ll just blog about it.

Latest Update

I haven’t really posted anything for the past couple of months. Mainly it was due to: graduating college, getting a new job, and not having a computer.

For now on, I am pretty much going to blog about my new video game I am designing. I highly think no one is really paying attention to this blog. But if some how you stumble upon this, well what I said before was my excuse.

Mesh Converter

So since I made the model viewer for our project. I am going to try to get the mesh converter from DirectX implemented into it as well.We’ll see how it turns out..

Delete File Game

So I thought of a new game idea, and here is the pitch:

You know those file that you want to delete, but just throwing it in the recycle bin is boring. So lets make a game out of it. Where the bigger the file, the harder the enemy is. I know there is a game out there that already does this, but it actually delete random files off your computer. I really don’t like windows file or System32 files being deleted. So in this game, you will have to supply your own files and ONLY those files will be deleted.

another idea:

Delete contacts, lol. Yeah I know its sometimes hard to delete that one person in your contact list. Well not with this game just add them to the list and watch them go bye bye!

Now I really want to make this game. Guess what I am going to do tomorrow!

Lasted Updated

So finished the Camera Manager that I was required to work on. I also had to create a winmain so that Havok can be initialized as well as some other various components. I plan to get custom collision meshes to work tomorrow. I can load AABB collision, but I think we will need a little more than that. Its spring break, I have to enjoy something, right?

I have to do the camera!!

So my IP (Internal Producer) wants me to start on the camera system so that it can be easily flexible. I am also thinking about adding a scriptable type of functionality so that the artist or designers can make in game cut scenes! I already have some code on b-splines and other interpolations.. I might just add that in their… ( evil laugh )!!

First day of Final Project

So First of all, I only had like 2 hours of sleep since I was sooooo excited to go to Final Project. But also I was working on some networking code for one of my side projects. But in final project, we broke into our teams and I can already tell that I am going to like my team! We just came up with a crazy idea, and I am already creating a prototype to show the team tomorrow. Well, I am shooting for tomorrow!

New website

It really sucks not having the stuff I’ve worked on years ago!! Oh well, I will have better stuff on here anyway!!
